It has been Long, since I have posted an article here in LBC. Now, we are gotta have a look about whether a link from a website is strong or the link from a blog. Here are a lot of views as per the result of the experiments that has been conducted by LBC. In these days, the number of blogs are increasing in a faster pace than the number of websites that are being established. As we know that “Content is King”, it has to be respected to great extent. With the evolving “Content Management Systems” like WordPress(especially for blogging), Joomla, Magento, etc,. it has been very easy for one to have a Domain name Setup with a Blog rather than Updating each and every page with the html.

Each and every blog comes with a blogroll, where the webmaster shares the Link of the Webmaster’s interest. The fact that should be noticed is, In the world of link building the number of back links to a website from a Blog is higher in number than the number of websites. Because blogs already became to be the only ultimate mode of sharing an article or a link. It is to be agreed that a Link from an authority website is always great.

Comparing to a blog and a website, I would say the values that are delivered are same from a blog and a Website. But a blog is winning because the links from In-Content is always worthy and also a Link from a blog-roll would become a Site-wide link. Even we say a lot of factors, It all depends upon the authority and values of the linking page that links to a website.

Reasons:

-> Frequent publishing of unique content.
-> Quick Indexing done using ping services offered by various blogging platforms like WordPress.

Always, a relevant In-Content link given much importance depending upon the results that we’ve got. Results are based on the both with same authority and powers. It is to be agreed that, nothing beats an Old and most trusted website of its own kind.

Thanks for your time,

Yeah, we know why contextual links are the building bricks of the SERP of each domain. There are a lot of factors that we have researched on and writing to everyone happily that we only deal with 100% Contextual links..

We have made two sites and built general links and all type of links, and it took around 300% of links to get the same results as only less amount of relevant links made that.

I know many of the people already hate the irrelevant links. Also we define a 100% HQ Contextual Link as.

1. Link is relevant to the category of our client’s site
2. All the Links placed inside the site where we get a link are only relevant to the niche. [We do not deal with the sites that put an out of topic link in their page]
3. 50%+ Website links and only 50% blog links.

An all the quality criteria is checked before getting a link..

It is a * rated research as it is very important for ranking higher in major search engines.

Whenever we get a link to our website, it should be entirely natural. We also call naturally placed links as Organic Links, Real Links, etc. When a publisher or a webmaster places a link to our website from his/her website by interest after reading our website, it is called as pure and natural links. For example, a lot of sites will have columns called “Sites worth Reading” “Related Sites” “Reference” “More about {niche}” and various terms from which they will be giving links to their most liked sites. Links added under these will look like naturally placed links. Buying links is artificial and not real. Actually links placed under “Blog Roll” and Link farms might be considered as artificially bought links. We run link building campaigns and several other various methods to get real and natural links.

1. Content relevancy of linking site: It’s one of the main factors which we have to take into consideration. To be natural and organic, we should balance at least 50-60% and above of relevant links. We can say that linking to a pharmacy site from a technology site is artificial. Though in our research a lot of queries like why a technology site cannot have a link from a pharmacy site like “Advancing Technology in manufacturing Pharmacy Materials”. So we are sure that maintaining a balance of 50-60% is fine
Sometimes, major search engine organizations may refer to non-relevant links manually when the authority of the page is high and balance more than 50% of relevant links to make it rank higher. So at whatever time we obtain a link to a health site, we do not use a gaming related one and we do obtain from a Fashion site like “Is being healthy as fashion?”

2. Links with Description – It’s also judged as one of the main fact and related to the above principle. While getting a link from a fashion site, we have to use a short description which looks more relevant to our website. This improves the quality of links and makes them appear organic.

3. Links inside content [Out of a farm] – In a website, when there are 10-15 links placed together in a place such as “Related Sites” and “Blog Roll”, it is totally not useful to get a link there. We always prefer links placed within the content or a separate place where no links are grouped collectively. But every so often when the authority of the page is very high, we might opt for it also for a balance.

4. Balancing Do-Follow and No-Follow – We know that after Matt Cutts [Head of Google web spam] has made this theory possible and live, a lot of sites have been turning no-follow. When a web master is not having trust on the page for which it is going to link for, a nofollow attribute is used in the html tag. We can say that when the webmaster feels that site is not trustable or irrelevant, he might go for for it {more}. At present, in the total no. of sites that are present in the world more than 4% of the links are no follow. So as soon as we build 1000 back links to a website, it is always good to build 40-50 no follow along with it.

5. Using different long tail keywords – We should know that when a web master links to any website, he might use any keyword that he has in his mind or he wish to. It is known by a lot of people that, while running link building campaigns, we should not use same keywords for getting all links. It’s the main factor and we consider it as a very common factor that every one uses.

6. Avoiding Free Link Building – There are lot of methods by which we can obtain log of links for free. Things such as link wheels and directory submissions became dead. A site where lot of content diversions is present is not the right place to get links. And free type such as commenting, profile link building, forum links are not counted by Google and when it recognize such practices, it might result in a -50 Penalty.

7. IP Diversity – A lot of publishers who prefer to sell links on their website will be from same block of IP. For example, when we get 100 links from same c-class block, it is 0% natural and 100% fake and artificial. For this we should start practicing by obtaining links from various c-class blocks by getting a link from different web masters. We follow this criterion and we do not involve in getting more number of links from a single c-class IP block.

8. Getting links from each PR sites – It is impossible for a site to get all links from many PR3 or PR4 sites. When it is natural, then even PR0 will be willing to link to that website. So, we strictly maintain a ratio of PR that we get. Even when our site is PR5, getting a PR0 link benefits as it is natural. While seeing the factors that make the site organic, this also should be taken to consideration.

9. No Link Farms and No sites that have irrelevant links – A place where 35 links are grouped together looks totally like artificially placed links. And also when a site has gambling, casino, steroids, etc links and we place a real health insurance link there, it will not be taken into consideration. A real webmaster will not give irrelevant links from his web page or make a farm of 35+ links.

10. Avoiding Dropped Domains – As we have said previously that Google has the history of records for the content of any page. So, getting links from dropped domains are not natural. So, we can say when a domain that is relevant to entertainment is turned into a site like technology after its drop and when get a link in it, it will not be useful. Real web masters do not use dropped domains to publish their real content. It might happen sometimes but the webmaster would have informed Google via webmaster tools previously. Staying away from these type of links is always good.

11. Gradual Link Building – We do not encourage anyone who places a bulk number of links in a go. We always do work by placing 2-4 links per day when the monthly target is 100. And also we do not suggest pausing or stopping the link building immediately which might result in penalty. Because a site which gets 3-4 links per day usually cannot stop getting links after 2 months.

Please refer to our quality criterion’s to know what exactly we do get.

It is an on-going and non-stop research. Because of the constantly changing updates by major search engines, a lot of new information’s will be added to this article.
Please keep updated with this article to look natural in your results.

Age [Winner] > Content [Runner] > Page Rank

We are conducting many researches in the field of link building from a few months. This is our very important and foremost research. We have made three similar sites in different niche and content. In each wen site that we made, we gave importance to each metric. After 2-4 months, the result that we got from the research says that Age is the very important and very first factor to consider in link building. Here, we are referring to content age [Age of the content page]. Just a domain at 404 error page from 10 years will not be useful such as a page that is live from 10 years with content. Google has a few base records and history of content present in each page. It can recognize a 10 years aged domain with content placed just now.

Content of a particular linking page is also very important. We know that always Google and major search engines give importance to latest content. When we place a content in a site with good authority, the content will be indexed in top pages with time of publishing. This is applicable to content like “Latest happenings”, “News”, etc. Above we have seen content age. For example, when there is a page with same unique content from 10 years, it is considered to be powerful content. These pages can get huge authority. We have to consider a lot of metrics inside a content like keywords, etc. Major search engines can find the relevancy of content present in the linking page. Hence, relevancy and keywords also play a vital role in this type.

Page Rank. Many people may think that it is named as Page Rank because it is the rank given to all pages. But, it is not. The Rank given by Google for each page[Page Rank] is named after Larry “page”, the founder of Google. Well, we know that it is the the first factor that all the SEO Companies, Agencies and people before getting a link from any page. But, while comparing the other two, it is the last to be considered. I’d say Page Rank is one of the 200 signals that Google check before ranking a website. But when we see a higher PR linking page, then the value increases in a hundred’s way. We do give importance to all the above as per our quality criteria and our clients suggestions.

Please Refer to PR algorithm and research.

Page Rank is named after Larry Page. Page Rank is a rank given to each and every page across the world depending upon the number of back links to that particular page.

We cannot say that all the pages do get a page rank according to this formula. Just for purpose the formula used to calculate PR is

When we calculate the according to PR algorithm, it comes like

1 PR1 = 101 PR0
1 PR2 = 555 PR0 = 101 PR1
1 PR3 = 3,000 PR0 = 555 PR1 = 101 PR2
1 PR4 = 17,000 PR0 = 3,000 PR1 = 555 PR2 = 101 PR3
1 PR5 = 93,000 PR0 = 17,000 PR1 = 3,000 PR2 = 555 PR3 = 101 PR4
1 PR6 = 508,000 PR0 = 93,000 PR1 = 17,000 PR2 = 3,000 PR3 = 555 PR4 = 101 PR5
1 PR7 = 2,878,666 PR0 = 508,000 PR1 = 93,000 PR2 = 17,000 PR3 = 3,000 PR4 = 555 PR5 = 101 PR6
1 PR8 = 15,818,412 PR0 = 2,878,666 PR1 = 508,000 PR2 = 93,000 PR3 = 17,000 PR4 = 3,000 PR5 = 555 PR6 = 101 PR7
1 PR9 = 85,504,929 PR0 = 15,818,412 PR1 = 2,878,666 PR2 = 508,000 PR3 = 93,000 PR4 = 17,000 PR5 = 3,000 PR6 = 555 PR7 = 101 PR8
1 PR10 = 462,188,805 PR0 = 85,504,929 PR1 = 15,818,412 PR2 = 2,878,666 PR3 = 508,000 PR4 = 93,000 PR5 = 19,000 PR6 3,000 PR7 = 555 PR8 = 101 PR9

Wee cannot say that all pages having a PR3 link is a PR1. Google update the page rank of all the pages only a few times in an year. When we see SERP, PR is given very less importance. There are several factors are considered before ranking a page such as relevancy of linking page.

Many people might think that search rankings are done based on only Page Rank. But that is not true. Actually, the ranking is done based on various criteria and PR is also one of the metric that Google considers among many metrics. And as per our researches, the % of importance given to page rank as a metric is reducing in each update of Google.

When the PR of any page is higher, then the value will be very high. As mentioned above but not directly affect the rankings. So give little importance to page rank and do not consider it as the only metric.

Article will be updated as per the latest update.
